Riverview Project Continues to Advance with Major Construction Milestones Reached

Construction at Omni’s Riverview development continues to make strong progress, with significant milestones achieved across both the building exterior and interior. The project remains on schedule as teams work steadily toward the next phases of construction and interior finishing.

The building’s exterior has now reached several key completion milestones. The superstructure is fully complete, providing the foundation for the remaining interior work. Exterior cladding, waterproofing, insulation, and window installation have all been completed throughout the building, creating a weather-tight structure and allowing interior activities to advance efficiently.

Additional exterior highlights include:

  • Completion of all masonry work
  • Completion of balcony concrete pours
  • Completion of the building roof
  • Completion of the stormwater management pond

Site servicing and roadway construction also continue to move forward. Crews are currently preparing asphalt, curb, and concrete works while progressing with surrounding infrastructure improvements. Roadwork along Langton Street has now commenced and will remain a key focus in the coming months.

Inside the building, construction activities are advancing across all levels.

Interior framing has been completed on Levels 1 through 3 across all divisions and is currently progressing on Level 4. Electrical rough-ins are ongoing throughout Levels 1 to 3 and have now begun on Level 4. Mechanical rough-ins continue across all levels, with Residential Household Areas (RHAs) complete and work underway within the building core.

Several interior finishing milestones have also been reached:

  • Drywall installation has commenced on Levels 1 and 2 throughout the project
  • Ceiling framing has begun on the first and second floors
  • Smoke-seal drywall installation within RHAs is complete on all floors
  • Sprinkler rough-ins are ongoing on Level 4
  • Concrete topping has been completed on all levels
  • Staircase installation is complete throughout the building
  • Railing installation is now underway

The Riverview project remains firmly on track as construction transitions further into interior finishing and building systems work. Boarding, ceiling framing, and commissioning preparations continue to make steady progress.

Over the coming weeks, crews will focus on advancing exterior grading, curb installations, Ring Road remediation, and Langton Street servicing while continuing interior finishing activities throughout the building.

With major structural and exterior milestones now complete, the project is entering an exciting stage where the future home is beginning to take shape from the inside out.
