Construction Update: Riverview Manor and Presqu’ile Place

Construction continues to advance at both Riverview Manor and Presqu’ile Place, with major milestones being reached as these projects move closer to welcoming future residents.

At Riverview Manor, significant progress has been made across both the building and surrounding site. The superstructure is now fully complete, along with exterior cladding, waterproofing, insulation, window installation, masonry work, balcony concrete pours, roofing, and curbs. These achievements mark a major step forward and provide a clear view of the home’s finished exterior.

Site servicing and roadway construction continue to progress, with asphalt paving and concrete sidewalk installation now underway. The stormwater management pond has been completed, supporting the site’s long-term infrastructure needs. Work on Langton Street has wrapped up for the current construction season and is scheduled to resume in June 2027.

Inside the building, activity remains strong on all levels. Interior wall framing is complete, while ceiling framing continues throughout the home. Electrical rough-ins have been completed on Levels 1 and 2 and are ongoing on Levels 3 and 4. Mechanical rough-ins continue throughout the building, with rooftop heat assemblies complete and work extending into the core areas on each floor.

Interior finishes have advanced significantly, with drywall installation underway throughout the project. Plastering is complete in first-floor resident home areas and continues on Levels 2 through 4. Painting has also commenced on the first floor, marking another visible step toward the completed interior spaces residents and staff will enjoy. Additional milestones include the completion of smoke-seal drywall installation in resident home areas on all floors, sprinkler rough-ins throughout the building, concrete topping on every level, and staircase installation building-wide. Railing installation is now underway.

At Presqu’ile Place, construction is steadily transitioning from structural and rough-in phases into interior boarding and finishing work. Structural work continues to progress, while crews advance utility installations, elevator installation, and interior rough-ins throughout the building. Wings A and B are now seeing boarding and finishing activities extending to Levels 2 and 3.

The project has also reached several important infrastructure milestones. The building is now operating on permanent power, and water services are entering the building, supporting continued progress on interior systems and finishing work.

Exterior construction continues to move forward, with masonry and siding installation now underway and targeted for completion before winter weather arrives. Roofing activities have experienced some weather-related impacts; however, crews remain focused on achieving full roof completion within the coming weeks.

Site work at Presqu’ile Place is also ramping up, with curb installation and base asphalt work scheduled to begin shortly. These improvements will help shape the final look and functionality of the property as construction continues.

Together, these projects represent exciting progress in expanding high-quality accommodations and care spaces for future residents. With both Riverview Manor and Presqu’ile Place advancing through important stages of construction, momentum remains strong as teams continue working toward their respective completion milestones. Presqu’ile Place is currently targeting municipal occupancy in June 2027, while progress at Riverview Manor continues across both interior finishes and site development.

We look forward to sharing more updates as these projects continue to take shape.
