Construction Update: February 2026

RIVERVIEW MANOR – PETERBOROUGH

Construction at Riverview Manor in Peterborough continues to move ahead with excellent momentum as Percon Construction advances toward key project milestones. The four‑story greenfield development has now reached a major turning point with the completion of the superstructure, allowing teams to shift their focus toward enclosure and interior work.

Exterior Enclosure Advancing Across All Divisions

The building is rapidly taking shape as exterior work progresses:

  • The superstructure is now fully complete, marking a significant milestone for the project.
  • Exterior cladding and waterproofing have been completed in Divisions 1 and 2, with work continuing across Divisions 3, 4 and 5.
  • Exterior insulation activities are ongoing throughout all Divisions.
  • Window installation is now finished in every Division, fully enclosing the structure and enabling interior work to accelerate.
  • Masonry installation has commenced on the first floor of Divisions 1, 2 and 3, further advancing the building’s exterior completion.

Interior Work Progressing Steadily

With the building largely enclosed, interior trades are moving forward across multiple levels:

  • Framing on the second floor is ongoing in all Divisions.
  • Electrical and mechanical rough‑ins continue to progress on the first floor, supporting the transition into finishing phases later in the year.
  • Sprinkler system rough‑ins are advancing on the second floor.
  • Temporary heat has been activated throughout the building, ensuring consistent conditions for winter construction and material installation.

PRESQU’ILE PLACE – BRIGHTON

Construction momentum also remains strong at Presqu’ile Place in Brighton, where interior and structural work continues on schedule.

Interior and Structural Progress

  • Interior framing is underway on the main level, giving shape to hallways, resident rooms and shared spaces.
  • Concrete work on the lower level has been fully completed, with slab pours now underway.
  • Structural work on the third and fourth floors continues to advance steadily as crews work upward.

Looking Ahead

As warmer weather approaches, the construction team is preparing for the next major phase of the project, which includes:

  • Exterior site servicing
  • Installation of underground utilities
  • Stormwater system construction

These upcoming activities will play a critical role in preparing the building and site to support the next stages of development.

VILLAGE GREEN – NAPANEE

A New Chapter for Village Green: Construction Complete on Our 128‑Bed Home

We are excited to share an important milestone in the redevelopment of Village Green. Construction of our brand‑new home is now officially complete, marking a major step forward in our commitment to providing high‑quality care for seniors in our community.

This modern, purpose‑built home has been designed to increase capacity to 128 beds, reflecting the latest provincial design standards for long‑term care. Residents will enjoy a thoughtfully planned environment that includes a mix of Basic and Private Rooms, offering comfort, dignity, and choice.

Beyond increased capacity, this new home will play an essential role in supporting individuals with responsive behaviors, as well as those living with the complexity of dementia and other health challenges that make independent living in the community difficult. The home’s design incorporates best practices in dementia‑friendly environments—enhancing safety, supporting mobility, and promoting meaningful engagement.

We look forward to sharing more updates soon, including timelines for opening and transition planning. Thank you for your continued support as we prepare to open a new era of care for Village Green.
