At Omni Quality Living, the holidays are always a special time for us. This past holiday season, all our residences celebrated with plenty of warmth, laughter, and holiday cheer. Here’s a recap of some of the fun activities, traditions, and special moments that took place at a couple of our residences. We’d like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our entire community, team members, residents and their families, for coming together this holiday season to help us create countless memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

Wildwood Care Centre: Spreading Christmas Cheer with Breakfast and Karaoke!

On December 24th, the staff at Wildwood Care Centre kicked off their Christmas celebrations with a morning full of love and joy. The day began with a made-to-order breakfast for the residents, where they could enjoy their favorite holiday meals prepared just for them. After a delicious start to the day, the fun continued with a Christmas Karaoke session during lunch.

The residents and staff came together to sing everything from classic Christmas carols to newer festive tunes, filling the air with music and laughter. It was a heartwarming experience for all, with everyone joining in to share their love for holiday music. The day was filled with smiles, new memories, and the festive spirit that makes this time of year so special.

Streamway Villa: A Season of Community and Celebration

At Streamway Villa, the holidays are about more than just celebrations—they’re about coming together as a community. Throughout December, residents, staff, and families participated in a variety of events designed to foster connection, joy, and togetherness.

From decorating the Christmas tree together to cozy gatherings in the common areas, Streamway Villa embraced the spirit of the season with their beloved holiday traditions. Each Christmas, Streamway Villa selects two residents to dress as Mr. and Mrs. Claus to hand out presents. Another tradition at this residence included taking individual photos of the residents, like Wendy in front of the tree, to send to their families in a Christmas card.  

Forest Hill: The Magic of the Angel Tree Program

One of our most beloved traditions during the holiday season at Forest Hill is the Angel Tree Program, which brings smiles to the faces of all our residents every Christmas morning. This program allows staff, families, and friends to choose a tag from the tree, each representing a resident’s Christmas wish. The gift is then purchased and kept anonymous, ensuring that every resident receives a surprise gift tailored to their individual preferences.

This year, we want to extend a special thank you to our long-time partners at Kanata Trinity Presbyterian Church, who have supported the Angel Tree Program by taking an incredible 80 tags from the tree. Their generosity, combined with the kindness of our families and staff, helps ensure that this program continues to bring joy to our residents year after year.

On Christmas morning, as the residents opened their gifts, the room was filled with gratitude, laughter, and the warmth of community. The Angel Tree Program is a reminder of the power of giving and how, together, we can make the holidays a little brighter for those who matter most.

Garden Terrace: Celebrating the Season with Cheer and Creativity

Over the holidays, Garden Terrace had a blast celebrating with a variety of festive events. Our annual door decorating contest was a standout success, with the 3rd floor taking the win for the second year in a row. We also enjoyed decking the halls, hosting a “Light Up the Courtyard” event, and spreading holiday cheer with cookie decorating, a holiday photo shoot, and festive parties. It was a season filled with fun, creativity, and plenty of holiday spirit!

Country Terrace: Christmas Bazaar

This year’s Christmas Bazaar was a true celebration of creativity and community. The spirit of Christmas filled the air, and it was heartwarming to see everyone come together to make the season special. One of the standout moments was a resident proudly posing with her beautiful diamond paintings, which she sold at the event. The event was a heartwarming success, and we can’t wait to see what next year’s bazaar brings!

Reflecting on a Season of Joy and Gratitude

The holiday season at our residences was a true reflection of the spirit of community, generosity, and togetherness. Whether it was starting the day with a festive breakfast, singing carols with friends, or sharing in the joy of giving through the Angel Tree Program, each moment was filled with love and connection.

As we look back on this beautiful holiday season, we are reminded of the importance of creating moments that bring people together—whether through music, giving, or simply sharing time with one another. Our residents, staff, families, and community partners made this holiday season one to remember, and we’re grateful for the joy and memories we created together.
