Located 30 minutes from Ottawa, Almonte Country Haven is situated in a quiet residential area in the beautiful historic town of Almonte. With specialized health care services close by, you can rest assured our residents receive the best care possible. Almonte Country Haven strives to ensure our residents receive amazing compassionate care while also having their social needs met in fun, meaningful and interactive ways. Staff from every department play a key role in helping us create meaningful memories with our Residents throughout the year at a variety of exciting and diverse activities.

NOTE: Almonte Country Haven is currently in the middle of a redevelopment project and recently transitioned into a bright, new two-story building, which will be a fully redeveloped 96-bed residence.

  • Fireplace lounge
  • Supportive Measures Specialist offering on-going support to team members and residents concerning the individualized care of residents with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia
  • Individualized care of residents with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia
  • Non-smoking
  • On-site Social Worker access four days a week to support residents, families and team members
  • Active partnership with team members from Behavioral Supports Ontario and support from specially trained members of the BSO team in-house and externally.
  • Partnership with the Psycho-Geriatric Outreach team from the Royal Ottawa Hospital
  • Partnership with Home Hospice North Lanark in the provision of skilled volunteers as well as educational opportunities for residents, families and care team.
  • Physiotherapy Services provided through partners at Achieva Health with an on-site Physiotherapist one day weekly and Physiotherapy Assistant five days weekly
  • Partnerships with external health care providers to meet our Residents’ dental, hearing and mobility needs
  • Partnerships for the provision of lab services, mobile X-ray imaging, specialized nursing foot care and hair care services
  • Active Residents’ Council that meets monthly
  • Accredited by Accreditation Canada
  • Individualized care to residents who have dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
  • Located within minutes of a hospital and other emergency services
