Omni Quality Living Announces Grand Opening of Pleasant Meadow Manor

NORWOOD, ONTARIO, September 26, 2024: Omni Quality Living (“Omni”) proudly announces the grand opening of Pleasant Meadow Manor, a redeveloped and expanded long-term care home featuring a combination of Basic and Private upgraded and new beds in Norwood, Ontario. This marks the second new home opening by Omni in the past 12 months, with three more homes in active construction across Ontario, underscoring its commitment to enhancing care for seniors across the province.

Pleasant Meadow Manor welcomed its new residents on August 28th, 2024, following comprehensive redevelopment efforts that have modernized the residence to meet the latest standards in long-term care.

The successful redevelopment of Pleasant Meadow Manor was made possible thanks to the expertise and dedication of our partners. Steelcore Construction served as the general contractor, bringing precision and professionalism to the construction process. G-Architects provided architectural design services, ensuring that every aspect of the residence was crafted with the needs of seniors in mind. We extend our heartfelt thanks to both teams for their exceptional contributions to this project.

“We are thankful for Government of Ontario’s support in increasing long-term care capacity across the province and supporting the redevelopment of Pleasant Meadow Manor,” stated Raheem Hirji, President and CEO of Omni Quality Living. “The opening of Pleasant Meadow Manor not only expands our capacity to serve more residents but also reflects our ongoing dedication to providing meaningful care environments. We are thrilled to open the doors to this beautifully upgraded residence.”

“The grand opening of Pleasant Meadow Manor signifies another major milestone in our journey to enhance long-term care across Ontario,” stated Michael Doner, Managing Director at the Hillcore Group. “This project exemplifies our commitment to setting the highest standards in long-term care, and it reflects the dedication and hard work of everyone involved. We are proud to see this vision come to life, providing a new, upgraded, comfortable home for Omni’s residents, and look forward to continuing our efforts to meet and exceed the needs of our communities.”

The redevelopment of Pleasant Meadow Manor is part of the Ontario government’s Long-Term Care Development Program, which aims to add and upgrade long-term care beds across the province. This initiative highlights Omni’s commitment to improving the quality of life for Ontario’s seniors.

“Congratulations to the teams at Omni and Pleasant Meadow Manor on your grand opening,” said Natalia Kusendova-Bashta, Minister of Long-Term Care. “This is a significant milestone in our government’s commitment to building Ontario’s long-term care capacity. Together, we are ensuring that seniors have access to the homes and care they deserve, right within the communities they helped build.”

“Ontario is dedicated to its goal of improving Long-Term Care in our communities, an important element to this is providing new beds in a modern, safe and comfortable environment for Ontario’s seniors,” stated David Piccini, Member of Provincial Parliament for Northumberland-Peterborough South. “I am proud to have Pleasant Meadow Manor open in Norwood and offer incredible services that our local seniors deserve. I offer my thanks to Omni and all those involved in realizing this great achievement.”
